Michigan Army National Guard, Detachment 1, Company B, 3/238th Aviation Regiment will provide air support to all units and operations in Regional Command East, Afghanistan. The deployment is the third for the detachment and the 18th deployment of a Michigan aviation unit in support of the global war on terror. When speaking to the troops, detachment commander Capt. Kyle Love said, “It’s been only two and a half years since our last deployment, we’ve faced dangerous missions and met with success, I’m not going to war with 19 random members of the Michigan Guard, I’m going to war with 19 members of my family.” The detachment typically employs the CH-47 Chinook for troop movement, artillery placement, and supply delivery.

I was hoping some one might help me get the address for Det 1 Co B 3-238th CH-47 unit. I met this wonderful group as they came though Ft Smith Arkansas this last year on their way out on deployment. I am a civilian that goes out to our local FBO to meet our awesome military to thank them and their families for the many sacrifices they make for us and to thank them so much for our Freedom! For many years now I have had the honor of sending out care packages to our troops and would love to send out to our Motor City Muscle crew. I have been trying for some time now to find the address with no luck , any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much Dave Burns
