Like a scene from the 1986 movie, Top Gun, Michigan Army National Guard soldiers, Sgt. 1st Class Adam Swager, Lt. Col. John Hall and Estonian Defense Forces Public Affairs Officer, Maj. Ulo Isberg (left to right) strut the tarmac, June 15, 2015, after exiting a C130-J Super Hercules that flew from Ramstein Air Base, Germany to Lielvarde Air Base, Latvia to participate in Saber Strike 15. The three journalists were capturing photo and video footage of a Saber Strike 15 parachute exercise in Lielvarde. Saber Strike is a long-standing U.S. Army Europe-led cooperative training exercise taking place this year across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. The exercise is designed to improve joint operational capability in a range of missions and to prepare participating nations to support multinational contingency operations. Saber Strike 15 involved more than 6,000 participants from 13 different nations. (Photo by Michigan National Guard Public Affairs Representative Angela Simpson)
